Define Your Property with a Quality Fence

A good fence does a lot of work -- it keeps kids and pets safe, defines property lines, adds privacy from neighbors, and increases your home's value. But a poorly installed fence falls over in the first windstorm, sags within a year, or rots at the base because the posts were not set deep enough.

All American Lawn & Landscape sets every post at the proper depth with concrete footings, uses quality materials, and builds fences that are plumb, level, and built to last. Owner Evan Turenchalk measures your property, discusses style options and local setback requirements, and provides a written estimate before any work begins.

We also handle the site work that many fence-only companies cannot -- clearing brush along the fence line, grading uneven terrain, and removing old fencing and posts. One crew handles the entire project from start to finish.

Fence Types

Wood Fencing

Cedar and pressure-treated wood privacy fences, stockade fencing, split rail, and custom designs. Classic look that suits Dutchess County's rural and suburban properties.

Vinyl Fencing

Low-maintenance vinyl privacy and picket fencing. Will not rot, warp, or need painting. Holds up well against Hudson Valley weather with minimal upkeep.

Chain Link

Galvanized and vinyl-coated chain link for property borders, pet enclosures, and utility areas. An affordable, durable option with years of service life.

Post Replacement & Repairs

Replace rotted posts, repair storm damage, fix leaning sections, and re-secure loose rails. We can often save an existing fence with targeted repairs instead of full replacement.

Fencing FAQ

Most municipalities in Dutchess County require a permit for fences over 6 feet tall. Even shorter fences may have setback requirements (how far from the property line the fence must be placed). We advise on local requirements during the estimate and can help with the permit process if needed.
We set posts at a minimum of 30-36 inches deep with concrete footings -- below the frost line for Dutchess County. This prevents frost heave from pushing posts out of the ground during winter. Many homeowners who install their own fences skip this step and end up with leaning posts within a year or two.
A typical residential fence (100-200 linear feet) takes 2-3 days. Day one is post setting and concrete. Day two (after the concrete cures) is rails and pickets. Larger properties or fences on uneven terrain may take additional time. Evan provides a specific timeline with your estimate.
